Do you know how to find candidates on LinkedIn?
How do you as a recruiter, find the best person for your client, when only a small portion of the potential candidates are actively looking for a new position?
The job boards that we are all familiar with, only reflect active candidates – those seeking a change in employment.
But there is a wealth of untapped potential in clients who are not looking but would be a perfect fit for your client. And they probably will not be unhappy to be contacted by you for an offer.
Those passive candidates will not be found on the regular job boards, but they will be found on LinkedIn.
With upwards of 4.5 million professional profiles on LinkedIn, in South Africa, there is strong chance that you can find who you are looking for.
LinkedIn has a superb product, and the free version is immensely useful. I have personally found business, got repeat business as well as referral business from my free LinkedIn profile.
So it is worth checking out their paid products, to delve into what they have available.
LinkedIn has a Talent Finder Solution designed for recruiters either looking for staff for their clients or for their employers. The Talent Finder Solution is a product that allows you to set criteria for the skill set you are looking for, and to find those candidates on LinkedIn, even if they are not actively looking for a job.
This solution is far more powerful than the free version. You can search much further afield that your own network will allow, and the licenses you get from LinkedIn can be passed to another staff member if one of your staff leaves. That is a huge benefit. With the normal version, your staff would be building up a huge network of clients and candidates and taking that with them if they leave your company. But with the licence, the pool of talent and client leads stays with your company even as staff move.
