LinkedIn Rolls Out New Statistics For Company Pages

LinkedIn has rolled out new statistics for all company pages. In doing so LinkedIn has revamped the information it provides users of company pages. In a recent post we talked about LinkedIn rolling out targeted company updates for all company pages on LinkedIn. These statistics will analyse the performance of the targeted company updates among other things. Based on the performance of the campaigns being carried out on the company page, corrective action can be taken to improve performance of the company updates if necessary.

Page Admins and Marketers will have a good deal on information to analyse on the company pages. With these latest updates companies will have invaluable information to use in their decision-making. The statistics cover the following main areas: Company update engagement, Company followers, Follower Demographics and Company Update impressions.

Overview – Followers, Company Page, Updates

Firstly there is the total company followers -the total number of people following your Company Page. New followers last 7 days – You also have the number of people who started following your Company Page in the last 7 days, plus the increase or decrease from the previous 7 days. Then you have the updates for the last 7 days – The number of people who started following your Company Page in the last 7 days, plus the increase or decrease from the previous 7 days.

You also have total impressions in the last 7 days – The total number of times people have liked, clicked, commented on, or shared an update, divided by the number of impressions for that update, plus the increase or decrease from the previous 7 days. Then you have impressions update last 7 days – The total number of times people have liked, clicked, commented on, or shared an update, divided by the number of impressions for that update, plus the increase or decrease from the previous 7 days. Then update engagement last 7 days – The total number of times people have liked, clicked, commented on, or shared an update, divided by the number of impressions for that update, plus the increase or decrease from the previous 7 days.

Company Engagement

Company engagement shows you how often your often are taking action after seeing your content. This action is in the form of Clicks, Likes, Comments, Shares and Engagement as a %. Below are graphs for these different types of engagement.

Follower Demographics

Followers demographics now provide information on the followers in terms of seniority, Industry, Function, Region, Company Size and whether the follower is an employee or non employee. Below are the graphs.

Company update impressions are available for the past year and given as monthly totals.

Recent followers 

There is also information given on recent followers of the company which includes name and title and area that follower comes from.

Members Following

Monthly information if available of total followers per month as  as new followers gain in each other.

Conclusion – Company pages now provide much richer information.Instead of trying to figure out who is actually reading the status updates and engaging with the company on LinkedIn, that information is now readily available. The time saved can be used for more value-adding activities like interpreting the information available.
